Topical Fluoride Application (TFA)
properly belongs to the domain of dental practice and therefore shall be
                                           competently performed only by duly licensed dentists                                              (R.A. No. 9484 or The Philippine Dental Act of 2007)

 
Consequently, pediatricians shall
not engage in topical fluoride application in the course of their medical practice.
